ULA.me, an Edtech startup, has raised $28 million in a Series B round led by Vision Growth Fund, with participation from Jordan Capital & Investment Fund and Foursan Group.

This increased investment reflects the growing interest in developing digital education, especially in the Middle East and North Africa region, which is witnessing a major shift towards modern technologies in education.

The company plans to invest this funding in strengthening its presence within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in addition to developing and launching a digital educational platform supported by generative artificial intelligence technologies.

This platform is expected to contribute to improving the learning experience by providing personalized educational content based on the analysis of students’ performance and abilities, enabling more efficient personalized education.

The platform will also integrate augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) technologies, providing an interactive learning environment that simulates reality and makes the educational process more exciting and effective.

ULA was founded by entrepreneur Alaa Jarrar, with a vision to provide equal educational opportunities to children in the Arab world, regardless of their financial capabilities or the environments they come from.

The company seeks to bridge the gap between public and private education by providing high-quality educational content, based on the latest technologies, and allowing students to have a learning experience that adapts to their individual needs.

Experts believe that such initiatives contribute to improving the quality of education in the region and help develop students’ skills, thus preparing them for the future labor market that increasingly relies on digital technologies.

Saudi Arabia is witnessing a major digital transformation in the education sector, in line with Vision 2030, which aims to promote innovation in education and technology.

These investments come within the framework of supporting technical solutions that help improve access to education and raise its quality.

ULA platform is expected to play a pivotal role in reshaping the future of digital education in the region, by providing modern educational models that meet the needs of the new generation and contribute to building an advanced knowledge society.
