The UAE, then Mars. So Elon Musk, cofounder and CEO of Tesla is going to be in Dubai next week to officially launch the electric-powered car in the country. This is great news for anyone enthusiastic about getting electric vehicles on the incredibly congested roads of the UAE. And here’s where to look for jobs with them.

Goodbye oil, hello knowledge. Saudi Arabia’s non-oil private sector is growing. Yay. The country has been injecting some serious cash and resources into encouraging people away from a reliance on oil and more towards a knowledge economy. Good to see it’s working.

Watch for the dangers of BYOD. Cyber security is a growing talking point amongst SMEs as well as the big corporations that are running around with all our data. And bringing your own device to work (BYOD) is one of those ‘threats’ that small companies need to especially look out for. You can throw as much money as you like at security software, but it’s the human in the chain that can often be the weakest link.
