Arabian Venture Forum (AVF) is an initiative aimed at supporting the venture capital landscape in Saudi Arabia and the region, by connecting international and local VC firms with high-profile technology-based startups.

AVF will provide a unique, cross-border platform to create the essential connections between local and international investors on one side, and local and international entrepreneurs, on the other side.

AVF is a two day event spanning from November 19 - 21 where VCs will gather to discuss investment opportunities, technology trends, industry outlooks and regulatory challenges. A series of keynote speeches, panels and informal exchanges will be scheduled throughout the event.

Over the next few weeks, the Advisory Committee members, composed of seasoned VCs, corporate VCs and industry experts, will nominate technology based startups from their portfolio or network to be selected for showcasing. A working committee led by the KAUST Innovation Fund and CleanTech Scandinavia, a partner in the event, will finalize selection of the top 50 start-ups. AVF is focused on the following industry sectors: Energy & Cleantech, and Information & Communication Technology (ICT).

During the event, these technology-based startups, will pitch to international and local investors, either to raise capital for the first time, or larger amounts to further their growth.

This annual gathering of the international, regional and VCs together with the technology startup community offers exclusive opportunities to discover, share experiences, network, and potentially close deals.
