Wamda Reserach Lab (WRL) findings showed that 40 percent of entrepreneurs from the software development and service industry think the most talented employees are in Jordan, whose capital, Amman will be hosting our next Mix N’ Mentor.

#MixNMentor Amman, Wamda’s second for this year, will take place on June 2 at the Zain Innovation Center ZINC, located in King Hussein Business Park.

For the first time Mix N’ Mentor will add two industry-specific sessions focused on social entrepreneurship and creative industries.

Also, topics discussed over the morning sessions and during the afternoon workshops will be tailored to entrepreneurs’ needs based on a survey that we’re conducting with the ones who attended last year’s Mix N’ Mentor in Amman and other members of Jordan’s startup community. You can still participate in the survey to tell us how we can better serve you, click here.

Mix N' Mentor is a cosy event: it’s all about peer-to-peer learning and networking with high quality mentors. Entrepreneurs will build new connections and deepen old ones.

Mentorship sessions were and still are at the core of the event. Whether in groups or one-on-one, we bring in local, regional and global experts, to sit with entrepreneurs and help them find solutions for their challenges.

Mentors who will share their expertise include Wamda Capital chairman Fadi Ghandour, Aramex UAE country manager Hussein Wehbe, Arzan VC senior investment manager Laith Zraikat, Facebook Middle East head of policy Ashraf Zeitoon, Jabbar Group chairman Samih Toukan, PayFort managing director Omar Sudoudi, Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation CEO Valentina Qussisiya who will participate in the social entrepreneurship sessions, and many others who will be added to our confirmed mentors list.

Marketplace, which was launched one year ago during Mix N’ Mentor Amman 2015 and is a session to help startups understand how large corporates think and how to land deals with them, will bring Aramex, Zain, PayFort among many others to be announced soon.

Some lucky startups will leave the day having sparked initial conversations for a deal.

A number of workshops are also organised throughout the event, ranging from branding and positioning led by United Arab Bank senior vice president for marketing and communications Lina Shehadeh, to user acquisition to growth hacking led by Vinelab’s Abed Agha, business development, team building, and other workshops that will meet participants’ needs and expectations.

At the end of the day, the whole group comes together to reflect on the lessons they’ve learned in a fun, collaborative and casual setting.
