D-PRIZE: Finding solutions to poverty
D-prize is a partnership program between the Global Business Center and D-Prize organization. This competition challenges social entrepreneurs to develop better ways to distribute proven life-enhancing technologies, while providing crucial funding and support so that these ideas can launch a pilot.
Pitch your idea to solve one of the challenges; Girl’s Education, Energy, Education, Governance and Infrastructure, Global Health and a custom challenge at your choice. After exploring the challenges check these steps:
-
First Round: Submit a resume and two-page concept note by Dec 15 (early deadline), Dec 30 (regular deadline), or Jan 15 (limited extension).
-
Second round: The top 5% of entrepreneurs will be invited to submit a full 10 page proposal. Full plans are due within four weeks of being invited to submit.
-
Final Round: The top entrepreneurs will have an interview with the judges. Winners as they launch will receive up to $20,000, mentorship, and other support.
