Aliqtisadi partners with Harvard Business Review to offer management content in Arabic
Aliqtisadi, the Arabic business news portal launched out of
Damascus, is continuing to expand despite the challenges of the
Syrian conflict.
Today, the Arab world's Economist is launching a new section that
will feature content on management from Harvard Business Review, in
Arabic, in partnership with Crescent Enterprises, a UAE-based
conglomerate. The content, which is provided by The New York Times
News Service & Syndicate, will feature advice for team leaders
and executives on leadership and organizational management.
After launching in Palestine and London in late October, adding to
its editions Lebanon, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt, Aliqtisadi
is now, with its first foray into partnership with a U.S.-based
publication, well-positioned to reach its goal of becoming the
leading global source of business news in Arabic.
The online news site, which is published by Haykal Media, has
managed to grow- seeing double-digit traffic increases month to
month this year- partly thanks to its commitment to neutral
reporting, partly thanks to an interest in revealing the human side
of business, and partly thanks to a vision for developing Arabic
content globally.
“Republishing content from HBR in the region's native language
reasserts Aliqtisadi.com's commitment to Arabic content, and to
strengthening media's role to advocate good business practices in
the Arab world," Abdulsalam Haykal, CEO of Haykal Media, said in a
statement.
"For 10 years now, Aliqtisadi has been delivering on its mission to
support the development of the business sector, boost
entrepreneurship, and stimulate economic growth," added Haykal,
"and there couldn't be better content than HBR's to provide timely,
relevant, and exciting knowledge and expertise."
