Middle East Start-up Forum in Dubai
The Middle East Investor Relations Society (ME-IR Society) is an independent not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting excellence for investor relations standards across the region. During its annual gathering of Society members and partners, it aims to promote this initiative with the launch of the first Middle East Start-up Forum to give Middle East startups the opportunity to showcase their ideas and projects.
The event will feature five-minute pitches from eight promising early stage startups chosen from numerous applicants across the region. After each presentation, participants of the annual conference as well as angel and venture capital investors will have a few minutes to question the presenters.
The goal is for some of the startups to meet investors who may provide funding, support, guidance and connections that will help these new companies get off the ground, while pioneering and promoting the concept of better Investor Relations for start-ups and their stakeholders.
The event is organized in partnership with Dubai Silicon Oasis and MENA Private Equity Association. If your application is accepted, there are no fees to attend.
Startups can apply to pitch by clicking here. Investors who would like to join during the day can register here. Closing date for applications is the 31st October 2013.
