Maid-booking startup Justmop in the UAE has recently raised a Series A of funding, led by venture capital firm VentureFriends, along with the participation of OAK Capital and 500 Startups.

Even though the startup did not disclose the amount, sources say it was more than a few million dollars. The new fund will help the business scale, improve its booking app and add more maid and home/office maintenance services, according to the same source. The company hopes to expand its presence to Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait as well by the end of 2018.

Justmop’s services include furniture cleaning, office and school cleaning, housekeeping and maid services, marble polish and many other.

“Our aim is to obtain a tangible leverage in target markets and we will be depending on VentureFriends to guide us. This organization is replete with successful entrepreneurs who know what we need and when we need it,” said founder Ali Cagatay Ozcan. “This dynamic helps us concentrate on the activities without getting bogged down by the paperwork and in this fashion market reach will be expanded in a systematic manner,” he explained.”
