Mohamed Bin Zayed Majlis for Future Generations
On March 7-8 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center, the ‘Mohamed Bin Zayed Majlis for Future Generations’ will host 3,000 Emirati university students for discussions, breakouts, and workshops around topics such as cyber security, smart cities, urban development, and entrepreneurship.
This fun, interactive event aims to help young Emiratis think about the career options available to them and the skills they will need in tomorrow’s world, to realize their ambitions for the future.
In our pursuit of constructively addressing education and transportation issues to young minds, Wamda will be hosting a design thinking workshop under the name ‘Minds on a Mission’ for attending Emirati university students.
The workshop encourages participants to think of new and innovative solutions to transport and education challenges facing the UAE. Note that the workshop is in collaboration with Cognit, the exclusive provider of IBM Watson technology in MENA.
Teams will be working alongside facilitators from Wamda and entrepreneurs from our network to define problems within each respective track, and work towards building a solution.
Minds on a Mission will culminate with a presentation on Day 2 of the event, where a deck presenting the solution will be pitched by IBM's Watson, and the audience will select the most innovative solution to be awarded 20,000 Emirati dirhams.
Students interested in the event should first register their interest on the website, and then apply for the Minds on a Mission challenge.
Deadline for registration is on Wednesday March 1 by noon.
