OPCDE 2017 [Call for Papers]
The UAE and the region as a whole needs a platform for security researchers and academics to present their work on cyber-security in a purely technical environment. For that reason and for the first time, OPCDE is inviting people from across the community to come on stage and share their insights, experiences, and latest research on cybersecurity.
This event is exclusively focused on technical content and any commercial presentations will be rejected. To make sure that each presentation is up to standards, a reviewing panel will rigorously go through each one in order to evaluate it.
Topics that your presentation should be about are: reverse engineering, exploitation (offense and defense), application security, network security, hardware security, automation (machine learning), threats against banks, financial institutions (PoS systems, ATMs, blockchain, cryptocurrencies, ecommerce etcetera), critical infrastructure protection (SCADA/ICS), Internet of Things (self-driving cars, smart homes and smart devices, autonomous drones, smart cities etcetera), mobile devices, desktops, servers.
Moreover, the conference will feature two keynote speeches each led by 'Capsule8' CEO John Viega, and Vice President of Security Engineering at 'Fastly' Maarten Van Horenbeeck.
Applications are currently open for the event, which is coming up on April 26-27, 2017 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, in a venue to be announced at a later date. For more info visit this website.
The deadline for submitting proposals is January 31, 2017.
