Mix N' Mentor to unite startups with 5 large corporates in Beirut
Mix N’ Mentor Beirut, the largest gathering of established Lebanese startups, has nearly reached full capacity but there is still time to sign up.
More than 100 entrepreneurs have confirmed their attendance, and we hope to see you there as experts from corporations and investment companies from all over the region lend their expertise and seek startups to engage. The event will take place on September 5th at the Beirut Digital District.
We will have VCs from five firms, all top agencies with deep expertise and access to funding, serial entrepreneurs who have built and scaled companies, and mentors who are removing barriers and providing support for MENA’s startups.
Indeed, countless mentors from a wide range of industries and areas have already confirmed their attendance. They are eager to share their diverse range skills, talent and expertise with Lebanon’s entrepreneurs.
New addition and classic favorites
The new addition this year is a Marketplace session where five large corporations will try to identify startups they want to work with. They are Touch, Choueiri Group, Aramex, Uber and Payfort.
Of course, the event will include roundtable discussions over the course of the day, where mentors and entrepreneurs go over fundraising, business development, and team building. Mentors will also be on hand to discuss any other issues that entrepreneurs wish to raise.
At Mix N’ Mentor Amman, 28 startups left the event with immediate action items and follow up meetings planned with corporates. You can be one of those in Beirut if you prepare your pitch.
Exceptional year for Lebanon’s ecosystem
Mix N’ Mentor Beirut will benefit entrepreneurs in a year that has really championed Lebanese startups.
Millions of dollars became available to Lebanese entrepreneurs this year: the UK and Lebanon together launched a new tech hub in the city that aims to connect local startups with global markets. And the venerable Flat6Labs announced a new accelerator in Beirut alongside its bases in Cairo, Jeddah and Abu Dhabi.
Unfortunately, capacity at Mix N’ Mentor Beirut is limited, and this is the last call for applications. So if you want to attend, sign up now to be able to book a seat.
All of us at Wamda are very excited to connect with you there, and if we can be of any help before the event please do not hesitate to reach out.
