Maker Hackathon 2015
Zoomaal, the leading crowdfunding platform of the Arab World, launched Maker Hackathon, the first hardware movement born in the Arab World. The first Maker Hackathon event will be held in Cairo on February 5th and in Amman on February 19th.
Maker Hackathon is a 3-day event where participating teams will have access to all the tools and equipment they need in order to design and develop a hardware prototype including: 3D Printers, Arduino boards, littleBits pre-programmed chips, and the latest technologies for hardware development.
Participants will also have access to training sessions, one-on-one mentorship, ongoing support on hardware pieces that will be available at the event, as well as expert help with product design and manufacturing.
By the end of the 3 days, winning teams with the best prototypes from each category will receive matched funding to launch their projects, along with other exclusive prizes from Maker Hackathon partners and sponsors.
